Nelson Antonio Reyes

Nelson, a distinguished graduate of the Honors College at Rutgers University, is deeply committed to driving translational research and advancing healthcare equity through an interdisciplinary lens. His passion lies in championing causes that uplift underserved populations, with a resolute focus on creating meaningful, lasting change. Nelson's mission is to improve the lives of individuals most impacted by systemic disparities, blending research, policy, and advocacy to forge a more just and compassionate healthcare landscape.

Currently, Nelson serves as a Science faculty member for the NJ Board of Education, a crisis counselor for a suicide prevention text line, and an Emergency Room medical scribe. In each role, he exemplifies his unwavering dedication to both education and compassionate care.

Dr. Anthony Perez

Dr. Pérez, an Internal Medicine Resident at the University of Miami JFK Medical Center in Palm Beach, is committed to equitable care for all patients, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, or other factors. He is passionate about initiatives that enhance healthcare access and essential resources for marginalized populations. Dr. Pérez recognizes that addressing social justice issues is vital in achieving health equity and minimizing health disparities.

Bryant N. Gomez

Bryant is a 3rd year doctoral student in the Basic and Applied Social Psychology Ph.D. Program at The Graduate Center, City University of New York. He serves as a Graduate researcher at the Stigma And Identity Lab (SAIL) at John Jay where he does work on understanding, documenting, and ameliorating the experiences of members of stigmatized groups. Bryant also serves as a Graduate Researcher at the Hunter Alliance for Research and Translation (HART), where he leads and conducts interdisciplinary, community-engaged research with local and national health collaborators across NYC. Bryant is also an instructor at Hunter College. Bryant's current research interests are racial-ethnic identity integration, sociocultural norms, stigma, well-being, and urban health disparities. Before joining CUNY and HART, Bryant graduated from Rutgers University-Newark with a B.A. in Psychology with Honors and a minor in Social Justice. He was a McNair Scholar, Honors Living-Learning Community (HLLC) scholar, and a Hispanic Foundations Scholar.
